Gunnison, CO, parked on the street behind another Swiftie.

I was up early to monitor road conditions on US 50. I didn't want to wait another day.
Got a call from Swift telling me that I needed to move the trailer I had left at a Sears store because it was blocking other trucks.
So I went there and relocated it to the Walmart next door, then took my load to Pueblo and dropped it.
Bobtailed back here to pick up the mt for my next load, which is by now pretty late.
Still haven't received the load assignment for it, and I'm not going to mention anything until I wake up in the morning.

I t-call it in Salt Lake, as it is going to Canada.
And I'll need to put my truck in the shop for the second time in less than 2 weeks, for the same problem, it seems.
This time I am getting a check engine fault.
Thermostat is wonky, and the coolant doesn't get above 130.

Snow hit Chambersburg, PA about an hour ago. Looks like about a half inch has fallen so far. Traffic is moving on I-81 at about 40 MPH, so the I-81 corridor is getting greasy.

you guys be careful out there!

only thing I have dealt with is a lot of rain and it has flooded a lot of the docks, im glad I decided to finally invest in some waterproof work boots a couple weeks ago since I was in that water making sure my trailer was safe to pull out. when I got back to the dc there were a few drivers in the office and I mentioned the flooded docks, the planner asked all of us drivers if we check the trailer or just roll with it, i said I get into that water and play it safe, another driver said hell no and the planner said there was a driver who refused and there was almost an incident from it....

I rather play it safe, rolled up my pants and went on in, dropped my trailer in woodland hills today which was one of the flooded ones, apparently I picked up some of the debris floating around and a peice of a pallet with a nail went right into the tire so i called up dispatch and told them the trailer is dropped but the tire is hissing air out. I wont just leave it for the next driver to find so gave them a heads up to get it fixed.

Made it to Tulsa and back to Texas without any issues. The roads were hit or miss this morning on the way up some were terrible and others were clear. On the way back down though most everything was cleaned up.

My co-driver is gonna start this next load. We are headed for Kansas City, MO. Hopefully MODOT has been working as hard as ODOT and the roads will be clear by the time we get there.

New Brumfells, TX. Got up this morning and noticed that I-44 was not moving that well, so I knew that I was not going to attempt US-75, so I just met my DM know what was going on, even though I can take any route that I want, and he told me, send me what you are doing and I will fix it. I did, he did, and they added the extra mileage onto the previous loaded mile. Got on I-44 in Tulsa, and I swear that they never touched it as far as going west.

Received a msg today that within the next 10 days I have to take my truck to either a Swift shop or Cummins, and not a KW dealer. A maint campaign, cummins CM F/Pump Barrel and plunger. Now just have to find out what that means. I am sure going to do my best to find a Cummins before I take it to a shop.

Squeak, at Lancaster, the guys from Cummins are pretty good. I have known Dennis for several years and he seems competent. When it comes to working on the Cummins engines, he does not take orders from Swift. He works directly for Cummins.

    blsqueak Thanks this.

Looks like I made the right call sitting tight yesterday, wouldn't have made much progress on I70 in IL yesterday ... passed 4 rolled trucks and about a dozen four wheelers ... look like there was one mess that involved a truck and about 5 cars ... but today, nice clear day and the roads are the same.

OH tonight, drop in PA, then pick up and head to MI for a live unload on Wednesday.

    blsqueak and Moosetek13 Thank this.

    Salt Lake terminal, with a t-call that won't t-call.

When I did my loaded call earlier it kicked back saying that the preloaded trailer was assigned to a different trip number.
WTF, so I called my DM.
He said to roll with it and he would get it fixed.

Well, I guess he didn't as the load as never l-called - so it can't be t-called until the trailer is released from that other trip.
    So I'm waiting.

To top it off the PM sticker was expired so I had to take it to the Central shop for an inspection.
Nice people at the Central terminal. The shop guy put me in the shortest line and had me out pretty quickly.

And to top off the topper, the thermostat I had replaced in Denver last week went south so back in the shop it goes.
Maybe they will do a better job here.
If not, maybe I'll look for a Central terminal next time I need service.
