Well, THAT didn't,t go as expected. I got to Muller at about 9. had three Millis trucks, two Road pro trucks and an O/O in front of me. I sat til 10:45 and they got me into the dock, I was out of there a half hour later. Got to Hub city an hour early, only one truck in dock looks like an O/O pulling a Werner trailer. Anyway, go in to sign in and he told they are closed. NJ declared a state of emergency so all the employees here get the day off. I was like..."Ummm, I gotta delivery today" No one here, no one to receive it, no one to unload it. He told me to pull in and park til tomorrow. Sent a message to Pat...he confirmed...I gotta sit here again, so now this 1541 mile load has royally screwed me took two days longer to get here than it should have because they are closed on weekends at Muller and now its costing me all of today, and if I don't get it closed out before cutoff tomorrow...no paycheck at all this week. Pat said I will get layover pay but I dont even know how much that is. #### the luck.

Think it is 40 per 24 hours. That is in there book. -
stevenneill Thanks this.

I don't think you get any kind of detention pay for beer loads. Not sure about layover though.

Well , around 7:30ish I got a knock on the door for me to get my doors open for unload. I got unloaded, notified dispatch and scanned this trip on. Dispatch said to wait til my 10 was over to send the ready call...so I laid down...talked to a couple drivers I'm friends with on FB and caught some zzzzzs. Woke up ay 1:30 when my ten was over, sent my ready call and was told there is no loads tonight and to try again in the morning...so here i am...2:27 am and I'm wide awake.

You won't get much in terms of loads in the middle of the night unless you're at a brewery usually. Always best to try and run so you are sending your ready calls when your dispatcher is working, you will end up with better loads than you will dealing with night or weekend dispatch. I know you didn't have much control over it this time but just for future reference.
stevenneill Thanks this. -
