Kentucky says NO EATING AND DRIVING

Always astounds me that so many people think that it is the cop out in the car that is creating all these crazy enforcement issues. Like any organization, this crap comes from somewhere near the top. When you are talking law enforcement, it is usually coming from poeple within the organization that are the elbow rubbers with political or activist types. Most line officers think these kind of enforcement actions are just as silly as you do, but they have to do what the boss says, just the same as many drivers have to comply with some of their silly company rules.

Heck, you wanna talk about distraction??? Try driving with kids in the cars -- even with the little ones in car seats. I know I had to pull over a few times to discipline my own for fussing and fighting with each other while in the car.

There are always going to be distractions. Unfortunately, not everyone knows their own limits... and we'll all suffer with these new laws as a result. <sigh>

 

Baahhaahahaaaa!!! That is sooo true. One of the funniest comments I have read. Putting your safety vest on to sip coffee. Problem is, some company safety guy will read that and actually make it a policy. Now you have screwed us all.

I don't know who's near the top, but Ol' Trooper Biven sure sounds gung-ho.
I'm thinkin that the Kentucky fast food restaurants and doughnut shops aren't too pleased with Operation R.A.I.D. Might be a tad concerned that Kentucky will outlaw take-out food. Dine in only, and frisk the patrons upon exitin' the establishment to assure none are tryin' to sneak contraband out to eat while drivin' the highways and byways.

Judgin' by the second and last example above, it seems Kentucky has been concerned with highway safety for quite awhile.
More states oughta follow Kentucky's example by passin' similar laws.
I don't know who the powers that be near the top are, but it must be pretty high up, where the air is real thin.
Probably balances out to equal whats in their head.
Ya reckon.

 

Sounds good, like our town and its' old laws on the book, can't remember but a couple of them:

1 You can't walk and throw popcorn up in the air and catch it in your mouth,
2 You can't laugh on the sidewalk.


They need to do something about the careless 4-wheelers really, why not setup a sting operation for when they cut a truck off, pass on the right-hand side of the truck, weave in and out of traffic, and all the other unsafe diversions out there.
