People in the Orient chew betel nut for pain; legal and works. Maybe find some in Americas Chinatowns or Asian stores. Haven't had a gout attack since I started using it. It I did, didn't feel it. Won't stain the teeth with proper daily oral hygiene. Google for more info.

Best of wishes to you! A lot of people are having health issues lately... my co-worker's son who's only in his 30's is dying as we speak of spinal meningitis (I think)... :(

You have failed the CDL road test twice. And now you seem to have no problem using the school bus company just so you can get a license, and then leaving. What makes you think FedEx will welcome you with open arms? You should probably be doing something else, like working a cell phone kiosk at a mall or being the guy at the car wash looking for a cracked windshield to fix.

When you live in a state where money talks, people are rude, and DOT are looking to fail you to get your money then you have to do what you gotta do.. I know a guy who drove big semi trucks on his CDL permit and worked around trucks and drove them great on the road for a while but he failed his test 5 times and driving a truck is nothing new to him. Sorry, I'm not working those crap jobs cause I did that in the past and my dream is to go OTR that's why I don't want to drive a school bus. Edit: I have the impression that people are saying if you failed something a couple times then it's automatically "not for you". Well that's a bold statement cause it could be a lot of things why you failed doesn't mean the job isn't for you. Also, some people are faster learners then others so you need to take that into consideration.

Vam, just keep trying, or at least give it one more shot. I never thought I'd be able to drive a truck and at 24 I was able to pass on my first try with only 20 hours of training and less than 4 hours driving on the road. Obviously I still had a lot to learn when I got hired at my first job since my school just focused on getting you your CDL but my company knew that when they hired me since they prefer new drivers to keep salaries low. If worst comes to worst just stick with the bus driving gig! There's decent money there and you could always do something else like class B dump trucks, tankers, OTR Greyhound, etc.

A old employer and close friend who worked at my dads pizza restaurant back in 80s, has a state job now and said once I get a CDL he will hook me up with a state job. Sounds good, but I rather go OTR, we Greeks are ignorant.

Vam, look into UPS Freight. I know a guy who is a fleet manager for them and he said UPS Freight is a lot easier to get into than the package side. I'm sure if you put in enough time it'd pay well and give you good benefits.

In Connecticut it costs $30 to take the skills test. You state that the DOT deliberately fails people just to get their 30 bucks? I wish you the best of luck in your trucking career.
