So your at a meat plant? That is my guess since you wrote about backing into a wash area then a spot (to drop an empty?). If this is the case and you have sent in your 02 but not yet your 03 then you can bobtail out on PC and take your break someplace that you feel comfortable.

    Good advice, jaso .

krazyhorsechick, take a deep breath, treat yourself with the same empathy and respect that you would another new driver. Everyone learns as they go along. Try to keep your truck stocked with the essentials to take care of your basic needs .....there will be many times that you are stuck in a customer's parking area ....and as shameful as it is, some of them won't even let a driver use their restroom. A minimal supply of canned goods that you can make a meal if you have to, some high protein snacks, even peanut butter and crackers all have a good shelf life and will get you by when you are stuck somewhere. When you first start you place a lot of extra stress on yourself because you are trying so hard to do a good job ....the job is stressful enough to begin with, but everyone does it. The hardest thing to do is to learn to take care of your own needs but it is a must. Don't be so hard on yourself ....you're going to do fine.

And there is always pizza delivery! :biggrin_25525: Some don't like to deliver to a truck driver because of safety issues but usually you can talk them into it.

Just a tip to any company drivers, if you go to the parts dept in the shop at a Petro or TA and order 1 gallon of coolant and 2 gallons of washer fluid on TransAm's dime, this will give you a receipt large enough that will allow you to park for free at Petro or TA that require payment (fees are waved with a receipt for $20). This come in handy mostly in the Northeast where payment for parking is required.

I am wrapping up my current campaign. I will take another extended leave starting later this month. I will travel to Asia, some island beaches in the Philippines and Thailand. I have to give credit to TransAm for allowing me to take leave and still come back again as a company driver later this summer.

For this reason, TransAm rocks! :headbang:

What a waste. Just dropped of 1013 cases of liqueur, at a recycling center. Wonder who came up, with the bright idea of chocolate milk liqueur? ??
