Has anyone used/applied for this? Any input?.... Also
Let's say I call a broker give him a rate of $6000 for so and so trip. Can I ask for % when I pick up the load for fuel? Is this customary? Say he wires 2,500$ to our Comdata account? Is this possible

If you don't have company credit to get a line of credit from a fuel card company, you're probably not going to get one with a broker. A broker requires your tax id-on top of multiple other things-and with that can find out anything about your company. Not gonna say it's impossible, surely some have, but from what I've read/heard those brokers are rare.
IMO why give money to a guy for fuel, kinda makes me wonder if my 6k dollar load will get picked up and shipped.

some factoring companies will advance you money once the load is picked up,but if you dont have money for fuel you souldnt be in business to begin with, what happen if you brake down half way to the consignee?

Zpmp- i was asking if anyone got a line of credit from Comdata not brokers
Zinta- we do have the money just exploring our options and seeing what others have done. Being leased with a company and using Comdata is different from having your own authority and using Comdata. It's not just swipe and fuel.

Only thing I was asking is if you and the broker agree on a rate, if the broker can wire money to your companies Comdata account.

You had two questions if you will reread your post . Com data line of credit-has anybody used or applied for this, then also making it a 2 question post. Just answering what I read and zinita was posting the aftermath he saw, I just wasn't going to be that blunt.

Also, anybody can get set up with fuel cards, whether it'll be a half line of credit (you pay 2500 they let you use 5000 then stop) or a sole pre pay account, or if you've got good company credit I've got a 10k line just like a credit card, due weekly though, for 3 trucks. All depends on what your credit is. Not looking to argue, just saying my opinion in the matter brother

What do you think asking for 2500 before you get down the road with a load? He's taking a risk, that's basically a line of credit!

Traditionally when you are approved for a linen of credit it involves an interest rate and paying either monthly or bi monthly payments. When I ask for a percentage from a broker I wouldn't have to pay him back, well because it's my money.
