was woundering I WAS STUPID. wounder why....i use to have my CDL went out there. did all this i had (haz-mat,dobl,trples, everything just because i wanted to be better than anyone else, well my ego got to me and got home sick. i came home could not handel it so i wanted to drive local nobody would except me cause i did not have enough exp. OTR so they turned me down now heres where the stupid part comes into playi gave it all up and went to regular drivers license. so know i got to go and get everything all over...when i was trained the first time i was trained on a volvo with a super 10 transmission speed truck that drove so smooth i felt like i was in a ordinary vehilce....do they (prime) have those type of trucks. (super 10's) do you get payed or dead hauling. and what would you suggest for me to drive.....reefer,tanker or flat. also on the tanker what do they haul in it. is it some type of combustible like fuel, diesel, etc. or would it be something else just was woundering cause if its some type of combustible then that will make up my mind right there or the tanker putting an "x" on that one which would leave 2 left. thank you for the reply back shortround
Heading out for Prime Sunday

paul no we dont have any vovols or super 10 tranys freightliner century class with straight 10 speed also some petes and kw but you can only get them if you lease and must be here awhile all company trks are the same freightliner 10 speed only differnces is color prime doesnt have just one color.they ride pretty good as they are all air ride and trailers are too .remind me what your home area is i maybe able to find out just what the freight routes are there and if refeer /flatbed/tanker goes in and out .wouldnt want to go tanker if nothing goes by there you would never get home .we haul only food grade in tankers no chemicals or fuel of any kind however some food grade materials still fall under haz-mat loads because of the amount beinging shipped and otheir things. we do haul hazmat in all 3 division but its like 4%refeer/3%flatbed/1%tanker and you do get extra pay for it as a company driver.sorry for the delay on responces i had to sleep before i took this rest of way in .at home now will be here for 5 days then back out for more fun and excitement . i live way upstate in ny but i do hunts point in the bronx almost everytime i come back out its not to bad just got to time it right get in and get out watch the cars and streets are tight in some places . if your out training ask your trainer if he goes there if he does ask him if he can request a load going there so you can see what its like. he;ll laugh cause no one ever wants to go there .

as a company driver you get payed empty n loaded as lease no but i get payed 72%of the linehaul plus 100%of fuel surcharge which means i do the math to see if i can make money or not .as a company driver you take the load they give you which is forced dispatch as a lease operator i look at the load they want me to move but if it dont pay me enough or i dont go to that area i can say no .only problem is if that is the only load in that area i could loose money by sitting and waiting for a better one. i usaully take the load and call my dm tell him ok ill take this crap load however you need to do better on the next one and he will . see at prime your dm/driver manager gets payed off the loads you move also not by the hour so its in his best interest to keep you moving and take high paying loads

you live in a real good spot lots of freight lanes for everything refeer will get you more options as to were you go alot of freight in chicago area also around julite and effingham i do have some more photos but i will ned to load them on my computer as soon as i do ill send you a link for them .dont know if im aload to say but you can get alot of pictures on primedriver.net forum its for everyone not just prime drivers and alot of drivers are helpful with questions if you go there ask walcrawler about flatbedding he trains for that division also dr zebra has alot of good answers about refeers .i go to differnt sites cause i like to see whats going on and i no alot of differnt drivers from otheir companys.also just cause you train in one division doesnt limit you to just them you can train in all divisions if you like but each one does take time .and you can only be assigned to one at a time .so if you flatbed you cant haul refeer till you cross train in that division and so on.
