After I went to Long Island with a rig 70" sleeper and 53ft trailer with nothing but being out with a trainer it was time to go. They're asking for an accident
not only that but these places are in city's, towns you miss your turn you might not have a place to turn around believe me when I say it's not worth the stress -
You had me wonderin' there.
ThanX for clearin' that up, Robert.
What you're lookin' for in a Big truck truckin' company is important to know.
It's also important to know if what you're lookin' for will be a good fit.
Only you can answer that question.
But I'm thinkin' it'd be prudent to consider all the comments/advice, pro and con, before makin' a final decision.
Whatever you decide,
I wish you the best of success.
Please keep us informed.

Companies will tell you you'll be home for two days but most fail to tell you that it's not for two full days. Your home long enough to do a reset.

I asked that very question to Werner, he told me it would be two full days so we shall see I suppose

Haha, there is no way I would even consider goin in my own truck off the bat! I am not near ready for that. I plan to take full advantage of the training, I was in the orientation for Maverick for two weeks and just seeing what all has changed in the last five years was unbelievable! I'm definitely considering everything that has been said and appreciate everything, I wish I had not stayed off the road for so long so I would have more options, but now I know. I look forward to keeping everyone up to date! Thank you for your input.

Recently heard a fellow boasting on Tim Ridley's show of hauling oversized through DC with one year under his belt. But I think all his listeners haul oversized..LOL

I wonder if Werner OTR might be better? Is actually get more home time that way than the dedicated route which surprises me. But what kind of miles can you expect from Werner going otr? How much of it is no touch freight? How much of it is drop and hook?

.26 cents a mile.... No way. I did a account for Werner one of the drivers choice yellow. 3 weeks out 3 days home. .30 cents mile split to .15 cents a mile for empty and dead head miles. Be prepared for 2-350 dollar checks and the bank to be calling you if your bills are behind.
