Got a PP @1100 picking up in the Laredo lot and and going 3 miles to deliver for a 0900 appointment. Somebody dropped the ball.

Got that done with no issues, headed back to the drop lot and wait for my next PP. It comes in at 1400 Picking up in Houston (300 mile DH) and going to Allentown, PA 1831 paid miles :biggrin_25525:. I am sitting in a rest area on I10 about 80 miles from my 0800 pickup.

    Everybody stay safe.

I haven't driven since 2009 with FFE, 3 months of experience there so not a lot but I have my CDL still and up to date medical card for 2 years. Would PTL look at me? I know I would need a trainer and I'm fine with that, just wondering if it would be worth my time applying.

Man the traffic in Houston I hate it. Went to my pickup and was very proud of myself doing a blindside back into the dock.

When I left going down I10 in LA the traffic was all backed up because of a little ice. They had actual closed the 18 mile stretch where the trucks have to stay on the right lane doing 55 for a while which why the backup.

This delivery is all ready tight I had them reschedule it to 1300 on 3/6.

Right now sitting in a small parking area on I59 in Hattiesburg, MS.

30k? 40k? That is 6-8 weeks! I barely made the 2 weeks total with 2 different fellow students 10 years ago with Swift before they wised up and quit doing that. First guy was an illegal that couldn't read signs and almost hit a construction worker and rear-end another truck at the same time despite me asking when he was going to get over repeatedly. Second guy was a chain smoker, I am a non-smoker, who started his day at 7am, with or without a preplan, and made sure to stretch every day until 7pm. Half the time he didn't even cover 400 miles so I would have to drive all night long to get the loads there on time. I seriously question about 75% of the people leaving feedback on these forums based upon the frequency and amount of information they are leaving. I have been driving 10 years and have met MAYBE 2 people that can type half as fast as I can. So how is it your "driving" for a living and finding the time to not only read but reply to these messages all day long? PTL must not care about freight security because every company I ever worked at specifically said don't tell anyone what you are hauling or where you are, unless of course you want your truck stolen at gunpoint for the 1.5 million dollars worth of merchandise on it. You know how you can tell when a real driver is leaving feedback? The spelling sucks and it's written on a bathroom wall!

What a day I have had. First when I stopped at my Love's fuel stop last night the fuel isle was full so I decided to park it and get fuel in the morning.

Get up at 0530 go and fuel and the fuel pump is very slow and the passenger side won't pump at all. Have to go to a different pump. While moving the truck I notice the only lights working are the brake lights. Now I have to go to the TA about 12 miles in the wrong direction. Meanwhile I am getting later for my delivery.

Get to the TA and they aren't busy, they get me right in and the problem was the green wiring harness had come loose from the truck. Boy did I feel embarrassed. But we did find one of the yellow upper marker lights was out. Got that fixed and on my way.

Get to the scale house on I81N in VA and they pull me in. I sit on the scale and they say " pull around back and bring in your paperwork". I go in and they tell me I am 5000 lbs over on my drives. How can this be I scaled at the TA in Houston when I picked it up. I had to slide the tandems very far to the rear. So I go in the back and slide my tandems all the way forward and re scale, they say I am still over by 900 lbs.

They end up giving me a citation for $703 for being over by 5000 lbs. I can't believe this.

Finally get the load delivered and my next one is going to TX. But I have to drop it in Murray, KY.

They say I have some "Truck Repairs" to be taken care of. We will see.

I heard that PTL will charge a driver $2000 if he quits before he drives 100,000 miles for them. Is that true?
