Have a 2000 Eagle International, the trailer brake lights are not working, all other lights are fine including the rear running lights. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    1. Check fuses
    2. Use a test light to see if you have any power from the tractor on the pigtail, if you have power on the pigtail then check your wiring on the trailer.

Start easy, if you have working tail lights then the ground is good. Then, the only way to narrow it down is to find the short going from the front of the trailer to your brake lights in the rear.

It could also be your brake light switch. On my 91 L9000, the brake switch has two wires, one is for the tractor and the other is for the trailer. With a test light, I had power on one wire but not the other.

You can also take a jumper wire and give power to the brake light pin on the trailer and see if they light up.

It's an easy process, hope it works out for you.

    S&l Thanks this.

you could possibly spread the connectors in the trailer plug open with a knife.there are times that they no longer make contact with the pig tail end due to just being used if none of the above works for you.disassemble each end of the pig tail and make sure all the wire connections are tight/not broken.good luck getting it straightened out.
