    So what is your point?

Am I wrong for stating that it is a free country?

I am just as affected by the fuel prices as you are. I just don't stoop to name calling and other spiteful accusations.

This is just like the CB. Hide behind a mike or hide behind a keyboard. Do what you need to do. Drive safe and have a great day

I-495 would be a grand spot to shut down on. oops officer I ran out of hours on duty, and so did all these other guys/girls see ya after our reset.

We move the world. Without us might as well be the 1700's

Most of the owner ops in my Co. sold their rigs and became hourly drivers due to the cost of running buisness. The American dream is failing.

I have to disagree with that statement, you and your friend both know where we are located. I just looked out the window and all my equipment is still just sitting there. Nothing broke, no one fighting in my lot or hurt. Just took a call from one of our clients asking us to put a couple of trucks on, Said I am sorry, I will return to the everyday grind on April 7th, if you still need the service.

I only know the city. I am not one to be worried about.

Just so you know, I took the last week off because everyone called for it to happen. Now, bills are due, truck payment is due, health insurance is due. Time to work again. I stayed home for one strike, cannot do another one.

I personally make money on my runs or I would not do it. HOWEVER, the amount being made is dropping.

I support a strike, BUT as I said, It is a free country. After all, if not, you would not be free to strike.

I can also see the point from the company drivers as well.

If it is true, your post on the other thread about the companies in support, I can shut down in route to support. I hope it is there. It is the only place I have heard it. The companies drivers I have talked to from some of the companies listed just laughed.

Since you are so close road medic, I might have been able to hook you up with moving two crane booms not to far from where you are located. I just gave one away to a friend of mine who is in dyer straights for cash. He has his own little company and is a super person, but is having a hell of a time trying to make a buck. I would rather see him try, rather than just loose it all, and end up working for me then still have to pay off his debt,

I don't know how much you know about this industry but I notice you have little time on the road. We do need more drivers and everyone has to start somewhere, but after you have been around a few years you'll uderstand more. I have only been out here 13 yrs but there has been a BIG change in that time. I lost my truck 6 month's ago due to the lack of freight, rising cost and health problems all hitting at the same time. O/O are just trying to do what they love and make a living, but so many folks have their hand in it we have a hard time even afording to buy medical insurance. All I'm saying is where does it stop, all we want is to make a living. It's not always the ones that don't know their business that fail or just give up. There are hard working folks in EVERY industry that can't make it. A strike might help, I don't know, It did in Italy. I will support it if it happens because I believe in my industry, not because I want to see someone else fail. It is heartbreaking, when it's your life. Stay Safe and many happy miles!!
