Sorry,Mike. I should used the reply with quote regarding Bluebeer's post about .40mi. I just got off the phone with USX payroll who stated that Arnold pays SW regional drivers .335 to start, then .34 after two years. More Arnold lies...

Lol its cool I just thought youd meant me lol. Was gonna say my source would be that ive worked for arnold 3 times since 2009...left due to various family issues but always come back cuz they always treat me good and fairly. But will be moving back to ohio in another month or two. If they dont let that happen then Ill go back to Gordon Trucking whom I worked for last time I lived in Ohio last year. I left Arnold and florida and moved my family to Ohio to take care of my mother in law who was sick with cancer. They are both good companies just Gordon has better equipment is all. I hope things get better for you richieryan. Ive been reading your latest posts since coming back to work n im sorry you have been having a really bad go at it since returning to work. Just keep plugging away. Try getting a jacksonville based dm if you can. Like i said before when im in the truck im always pulling in 2500-3000 mile weeks. Just as i never have issues getting home when I ask. Im usually home the day before i request.

Sadly, any rate of pay is meaningless when you can't count on the miles, either due to being in shop status, or planners that can't seen to move you more than 300mi a day. It's like working for commission, yet you have no control over your productivity.
I'm losing yet another week of work due to breakdown. I appreciate the rental car, but we wouldn't be incurring these extra expenses if the equipment were maintained properly. All travel is handled by one person in Chattanoga (according to fleet owner), who we must wait on for the car rental booking. I'm sure they have a desk-full of these to process (USX/Arnold/Total). Since the travel was not booked on Friday, we will be waiting for an unknown period on Monday before we get the word and IF there is an available truck in GP. BTW, when driving a rental car, they pay .21mi.... something to keep in mind.
My time-off should have been Fri-Sat, but with breakdown and subsequent rental car wait, I've been off 4 days as of today. Other job offers looking like the best option. -
Hello i'm a old link america driver still here at ARNOLD TRANSPORTATION and what most real drivers are saying is true.At link america yes it was changing for the better and the merger happened.Of my knowing and asking around these drivers that are quitting are old link drivers.I too have seen hardships and never had it when at link. For real drivers that were at their comfort was lost at arnold after merge. What are our mistakes,I dont know they wont tell us they will never tell us.Question,do they feel threaten by us company and O/O drivers that know how to run.Yes i think so even trying to making appt short for ontime delivery or alot of time on load. When work on weekends expect the same every time. Now i plan on weekends and urge u guys to do the same.I know they goin to make u sit if so plan to sit on low budget. Now holidays is upon us and our families need us the most.If my fellow link americas if you quit you give them the winning hand.I think they are hiding something REALLY BIG.GOD is good to those who wait.I know that.So fill this thread up with your comments i wiil be looking and writing anything i here or see.Like xmas old saying seeing is believing.Tell it as you see it and write it fresh of mind. Now i feel good knowing this company is trying to control us drivers and get them to kiss ##### so don't and hustle what u can for holidays.I'll be on tomorrow with updates stay safe drivers.
