Be Careful: Scheiderer Transport Lease Program

    This crooked company resides in Plain City, Oh and offers a lease purchase program to those who want to live in their truck and eat at Mcdonalds, Taco Bell or Subway.....I tried to get on their lease program but wanted to drive the truck for a week to get a feel for it.....They wanted 49,000 for a $20,000 truck....It was a volvo 2006 with 753,000 and had many electrical issues as well as fuel only pulling from driver side tank....They said if they fix the problems the truck would be 51,000....am I missing something? dont you fix things before you try and sell them?.......I talked to other drivers who started out as a lease and went to being a company driver before quitting all together.....They promise you the moon and hand you a bag of #### in return.....Run you to death and turn ..40 cents a mile into about 32 cents a mile and talk to you on the phone like you are bothering them....#### YOU PRICKS @ SCHEIDERER TRANSPORT!!!!!!!

    Yes he's tellin the truth.. I was an o/o with them for just shy of a year, absolute piss poor when it comes to manners from dispatch, and the shop personnel

    In a lease program you will pay double what a truck is worth. Especially if it is a walkaway lease, no matter who the company is. The company takes all the risk the same as a bank would. Shady or not, this is l/p. Wanna be an O/O, finance your own truck.

    Credit is the biggest challenge becoming an O/O. With that said, and I would do this now if I chose to go back OTR, is to do a L/P with a walk-away lease and get an older truck (not too old.) Take and put 10% - 20% of your settlement in an account you don't touch and when you have the money to either outright buy or finance your own truck with a decent down payment, turn in the old truck on the walk away program, get your own truck and if you like the company, lease YOUR truck back on to them or go somewhere else or get your own authority and truly be on your own (if you feel comfortable at that point.) This is what advice I give to those who have bad/poor credit and want to become an O/O. Just say'n.

    My husband works there. He's only had one incident and that was handled. And he makes decent money and gets good $$$ for mileage. And the ``overpriced truck had a brand new engine. This company pulls grain, pet food fillers. There is a off and on season. Hoppers isn't for everyone.
