Goodness what the hell is that? Nobody gonna steal that truck.
-
this tranny is just a 13 speed with individual sticks for each function, has nothing to do with a real twin stick operation
cc tanker, Cetane+, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 2 others Thank this. -
LOL. Looks like an 18 with that conversion kit. Just replace the splitters with sticks. Not a true twin stick.Cetane+ Thanks this.
-
at first I was gonna say this conversion is completely worthless, but then I realized that if attacked by ninjas he may be able to use two of these 10 ft sticks to defend himself. And if the ninjas would take one of them, he'd have a spare ? That must be why he did it, because otherwise taking out a perfectly good thumbswitch and splitter for 10ft sticks would just be silly.Last edited by a moderator: May 9, 2015
Dale thompson and Cetane+ Thank this. -
I don't know, but is his truck and his sticks to do as he wishes
dannythetrucker Thanks this. -
Now this one actually looks fun !
BTW, after watching the first vid of Mr. David mastering the sticks I felt sort of like a housewife driving my 13 sp today !Last edited by a moderator: May 9, 2015

On the other video the truck had an old 4x4. I hauled coal with a 318 detroit and a 5x4 back in the '70's. If you watch Mr.David shift the auxilary stick, his last shift is towards the dash. That tells me that it's an overdrive trans. A lot of your old trannys that were overdrive, had the last 2 gears turned around like that. You really had to concentrate or you would forget what gear you were in. LOL ! My old 318 had twin straight stacks and man would she talk to you !dannythetrucker Thanks this.

A few weeks ago, I had to pull a big load through the UP of Michigan (I hate Michigan). A monster snow hit while I was rolling towards the mackinaw. This doorslammer gets on the bigroad. The trailer had FIVE axles. Wow...even the grocery haulers are hardcore.
I like to see stuff like that. The guys wheeling around in their old iron or the rugged SOBs on the northern two lanes and Canada. A few years ago, I tried to watch that show,"Outback Truckers." That was too hardcore for me. The guy loads his shovel, his rifle and the dog into the truck. Takes off pulling a land train. I was thinking, "Wow, this might be a pretty cool show." The guy did more digging than he did driving. I don't think they make a deodorant that could hold up to that job. And he didn't have AC! Talk about breeding flies.rank Thanks this. -
The nice thing about a set of boxes is that there was a gear for every occasion .
Pulling the mountains or out in west Texas on 10 with both sticks against the dash flying low !!
I still miss the 6x4 and 3:55 rears man them was the good old days for sure !!!
Now traffic in L.A. was a pain in the butt when you would hit 4th and 4th and then traffic would stop and you start all over again just to have it happen a few hundred more time before you got away from the city !!!
