hey, that's the year I was born! I saw that you had 20+ years experience. I was expecting them to offer more than 43.
-
Would be nice, but not complaining, .43 cpm to start, is OK with me, If they do as they promise, or at least come close to what they say, I'll be fine, My financial situation is good, I don't need to make huge money every week, I'd be OK with making huge money, But just not what's on the top of my list, The wife and I are very comfortable, and just look for something that we can run about 2000-2300 a week, And make a half-way decent pay, If I can clear around $800.00 a week on average? I'l be a happy camper, At that income, I'll be able to put half my income away for savings, When I was young, It was all about "How much money I can make", but now at my age, I dont want to run run run, for me, It's time to slow down, and start enjoying my time with my wife

Well, welcome aboard. There are a lot of good people here. I hope you don't mind a camera and microphone pointed at you in the cab. Melton is moving to install them on all their trucks. I could probably get 2000-2500 miles/week if my truck wasn't in the shop so frequently.

Cameras dont bother me, I've got nothing to hide, I'll be in Dalllas on Friday, Oreintation starts Monday
-
Ha no camera for me. I did put up my go pro but they can't access that, did help when I got clipped at a pilot. I have no problem here only met one but hole since been here, helped him tarp then he took off and kept complaining.

Just cant understand why some have so much issue with the camera? companies place 100's of thousands of dollars in the hands of people, and want to protect their property and cargo thats being transported, I have no problem with this, the only reason I can see why some may have a issue? is they have something to hide, Bad attitude? poor driving habits? like road rage?, Or maybe some like to drive and try dancin' between the seats, or lay in the bunk while going down the road, like in some video's I have seen on this sight, Possible drug use? just don't let me see this in action, because I have no problem informing the company you drive for on these issue's, I do carry a camera and if possible, I will take photo, and transfer to the company as well, i know this may upset some, I really don't care, There are no room in this profession for idiots like this

Ok, Im at the hotel in Denver waiting for my flight to Dallas on Friday, anyone else going to oreintation for Monday 17th?

The main issue I have with the inward facing camera and microphone is that it's an invasion of privacy. They'll tell you that it's there to save you and that it only records before and after a critical event. Both are lies. The parameters can be overridden at any time, and do you really want some lawyer in court to pick you apart? Oh, he had the radio on. He was distracted! Oh, he wasn't checking his mirrors every 5 seconds. He's at fault! Oh, he was checking his mirror instead of looking ahead. He's at fault! A forward facing dash camera with no microphone is all that is needed.
I disagree that only those who do the wrongs things are against it. Nobody wants cameras and microphones set up in their home for strangers to observe them. That doesn't mean they are doing something wrong. It means they value their privacy.hallellujah Thanks this. -
^^ what he said. I know how to do my job. I don't need or want big brother looking over my shoulder. My truck is my house. That's where I live for 6 weeks at a time. I have nothing to hide, but that doesn't mean I want to be under constant surveillance.
the day they put a camera in my truck is the day I find a different company and I swear to it.RayT70 and hallellujah Thank this.
