i can tell you about a flat tire citation if you'd like.

 

My father saw them at the Needles produce inspection station a couple of days ago, they had more than a few trucks pulled off to a side.

 

All I know is that CARB is having a meeting in April and some changes are in the picture. What they are is anyones guess. I had a buddy who was gonna retrofit his truck to comply and the shop who are on top of things with CARB told him to wait till after April and see what changes.

Some shippers won't load you unless you can produce a CARB certificate. The "Good Faith" exemption is supposed to end in May or June, but I see so many obviously non-compliant trucks running around I don't see how they can enforce it.

Thanks Dave, I hadn't heard about the April meeting. I'll pass that along to a buddy who is planning a retro-fit.

IMHO the whole thing is facist BS, I doubt that it will ever work & I've been tempted to move & never run CA again. How can they enforce it gainst small operators that only run rural areas, never crossing a scale?

 

It is illegal to take a crap in California!!

 

Must be with all the BS they have in that state,seems to be a nation wide collection point.
