Thanks for your opinion. But I'll have my truck threw my bank and no big name company's name stamped on the door. I'll eventually get my own authority. But don't assume you have all the facts. Worked for this guy for 5 years before and still help him of he needs it and he said they needed another truck to run from Toledo to Dickinson. I ask if I got my own truck if I could run under his authority. He said of course. And I'm buying my truck from jx Peterbilt Fort Wayne Indiana. So please tell me again how i'm a suckered getting screwed at 3500 gross per run twice a week?

Just ignore those comments. Just filter the information you receive. Truth is you are starting a business. You need some forecast and an accountant.

I have a CPA that deals in truckers taxes. And I appreciate all the helpful advice guys. I'm excited but nervous about this whole thing. My accountant said stash Money away. I plan on doing that regardless. And forecast looks good. Pick up machined tools or drill collars/stem. Run them from Toledo out to north Dakota or Texas. Sometimes Colorado and Oklahoma. Then grab something wore out that needs machined back to life and head back east. Rinse. Dry. Repeat.

Lol, sorry, double meaning of lease....leasing onto a company is fine, leasing the truck is not lol. As i said, there is no way to guess at this without real numbers. After working for a month, see what you made and talk to your accountant to figgure out what your expected quarterlies will be. You need real numbers though to estmate.
