Some drivers use a Mailboxes Etc address and get away with it. I think you can use their physical address without the PO Box. Not sure that will work in Nevada but worth the try. Some driver in Utah posted he got away with that in Utah. Sherwin-Williams In Reno might be a good trucking job, check that out.

I have an offer but I am still a wet behind the ears grey haired student...

So you are going to try and work for Tyson? That should be a solid and stable job as long as you don't chicken out...lol.
Good luck, I'm sure we will cross paths on the forum again.

Do some research on fulltime rv life. Gf and I were thinking about living that lifestyle and it is not that hard to do with good planning. Florida, texas, s. Dakota, are a couple states that are set up for living on the road with a state residency. There are a lot mailbox companies that provide physical addresses as well as actual p.o. boxes that forward mail. In todays world of online it is not hard to make it so you never get paper mail. I have been think the very same thing as you and Florida would be my choice. Transferring license is basically the same in any state and while I now the real cost for a license is a little higher at the start Florida Government has been dealing with the full time rv issue for years and really are no hassle. People in the rv world have been using s. Dakota because they have no sales tax and Licensing vehicles there is vastly cheaper. There are hundreds of rv sites discussing these issues on line.

Kudos Orb1956, now the only problem is my day is going to be taken up with learning about these new web sites and this culture. :biggrin_2556: Actually I am living in a motor-home now as I attend a CDL program having just returned state-side after an extend ex-pat life style in SE Asia.

I have lived like this for many years myself (not with an RV but the vagabond life of no anchors and always moving with the available tide) but now with a CDL it appears the DMV is being a little more demanding that I have and show an actual physical address. The DMV clerk even knew that the address I listed was a UPS mail box store. She told me the computer spits back any address that is a known box drop. I can only guess what degree of hassle I will get from the TSA over my Haz-Mat endorsement.
I will give your suggestion a detailed look; at least for now I have a friend who doesn't mind me using their physical address.
Thanks for the input and good luck to you and your gf.
