I have an 06 Volvo 630 and it's a 4 speaker system I believe. 2 on front and 2 on ceiling. The owner before me has a custom player installed and it looks like it was done professionally. I was wondering why my 2 on ceiling were not working but I found out there are no speakers. Just wires. I tried to test the wires but there is no power coming from either side. Fuses seem good.
Any ideas?
Thank you

They wont have power unless the stereo is on and playing...even them it wont be reliable. Sounds like the previous owner ripped his nice speakers out before selling the truck

When I am testing the plugs the radio is playing

If you can stand it, turn it up loud while you're testing, but I'm guessing the previous owner wasn't gentle pulling them out and damaged some wiring along the way.

I'd guess damage somewhere less than accessible.

Can you please rephrase?

Sorry. I would guess (and it's just a guess) that when he pulled out the old speakers, he broke a wire running somewhere between the radio and the exposed speaker ends. That is a difficult area to get into.

I got it. turns out the previous owner didnt connect the wires behind the deck to the roof speakers. so they were just disconnected. I tapped them into my front ones and it works good now.
BobcatVolvo Thanks this.
