It's easy to unload them...it's just a big crate on wheels. ..sometimes the wheels be messed up but it's really not that many crates per stop...1 stop u might drop off four crates second stop u might drop off 9...it just varies. ..but it's not hard work. ..and they let u have stuff free if it's damage. ..cool little gig...u will make more money unload freight then driving. .but u will also work for the money to

no. its usually really tight parking spots, limited miles at a certain cpm. and you have to unload eveything yourself. not worth it.

if you want to make money, do a year solo then sign up to be a trainer. thats the only way you will really make any money at Werner.

they arent a bad company, just not the greatest pay scale. but seriously steer cleer of family dollar, dollar tree, and dollar general accounts.

edit: I say wait a year before becoming a trainer that way you have a chance to experience all 4 seasons while driving a semi and that way you will be more confident and capable of training. as a trainer you get your cpm for your miles and your students miles. you can make some nice money.

Hey One, how`s the FD account so far? I talked to a Werner recruiter abt the DG account, he said they would put me on the FD account first.
What is your home time going to be like?

when I started training I was on a DG dedicated account, as a student I was not aloud to help unload, but after the first week, I knew it wouldn't be for me.. im a woman, I can work hard.. but it didn't add up for the pay id be receiving.. the rolltainers aren't always in the best shape, they might have a broken wheel or just not rolling. some of them can weigh ALOT. I heard a guy broke his foot on that account. just doesn't sound like its worth it.
