Stevens Transport Aviary . . cont'

No i have not seen it yet. The highlights were told to me over the phone. Wasn't planning on responding to it as i figured it was some billboard lawyer who has a hardon for truckers. I have no issues with stevens as a company just some of the employees there i had issues with.

 

Have been sitting at the KW dealer in Mokena, IL since last Thursday with SCR alert and check engine light. Part may be here this afternoon, truck may be ready this evening. They pushed us in early, when we got here they said they werent even gonna be able to look at it til Wednesday of this week.
Hotel is nice enough, I suppose. Very ready to go. Like, so ready that the light from ready would take five years to reach us because we are that ready.
Question for yall....is breakdown pay for a team per driver or truck?

 

Usually any pay to a full team truck is to the truck. But it is usually more than to a solo driver.

 

I had that error and it turned out to be some worn wiring that wasn't tied up correctly. Took three visits to three shops to find.

Hanging around the beach today. Warm...sunny...now I remember why I took this repower to Florida.
But...back to the grindstone tonight.

 

Does any 1 know why we don't haul produce out of Florida? Was just on hometime last week, went to the casino in Immokalee, must have past 100 or more trucks going to or coming from there. All kinds of produce in Immokalee. Yet I've never heard of stevens hauling produce out of FLorida. OJ and bagel bites seems to be the only thing we haul out.

 

I have hauled Produce out of Florida many times. Celery, potatoes. All kinds of stuff.

 

We haul limited produce out of Florida. The rates the shippers pay are very low since there are lots of loads into the state, and fewer out. Lot's and lots of trucking companies competing for few loads, so rates are thru the floor.
Oh, yea...we also haul coffee out of Jacksonville!

 

Wow! I haven't been here in a while, but it looks like I didn't miss anyone.
