Parked Here for the Night

It's pretty cool to participate as a judge. I keep trying to get them to step up to 14L Series 60 or C-15 and they insist on using those little Chevy gas burners. I mean, if you're gonna hot rod something, there's no replacement for displacement!



Sadly, I'm going to miss out on this one. I accepted a round trip to Ocala tomorrow. With an afternoon pickup and straight thru drive to make it work, I can't even run down to help set up in the morning. I need to sleep in to do my little part to avoid fatigued driving, don't you know. Might even book one of the VIP spaces at the Petro so I won't have to fight for late parking. I'll be sure to hold a pinky up while tipping my coffee in the morning.

The memorial will be in an hour or two with any luck. I'll sing a hymn while I'm writing up an invoice LOL.

 

Hey this is really off topic , but I was thinking to day as I was chowing down at this place off i35 in Oklahoma
cowboy travel plaza . Is there a thread about good places to eat at ?. Kinda like a heads up sort of deal .
I didn't want to start a thread if there was already one going .

Oh and the bbq sandwich I had was awesome !!!!!

No parking for us tonight... We will be hitting St. Louis in about an hour and roll through MO and into KS... Sun up will see us almost to CO on 70

 

Pilot/Road Ranger in Minook,IL for the night. Weather man say's I'll wake up to some white stuff. Hope the roads are still hammer downable. Running a little behind schedule, but guess this chicken will get their when it get's there. Ya'll be good now ya hear.

Parked at a pilot for the night , lol. I see a trends here I am always at a pilot

 

We always try to fuel/stop at Loves... 4x the points and free refills the next month after xxxx gallons (can't remember how much, but we always go over the amount... And free showers...

 

I don't know why , but I don't really like Loves that much , I get my fuel stop there every once in a while , so I end up getting showered there and spending about 20 bucks .. lol

 

I don't know what they are like anymore, but back when I was driving, I never did see a Loves that had a decent restaurant in it. And most of them did not have decent showers. Even the new ones looked like they were 100 years old and never cleaned.

Maybe they have changed by now?????
