I hear ya. You're pretty much at the top of the LTL food chain with UPSF already anyway. Pension, OT after 8, the best hourly and milage pay...no real point in going to ABF but I consider those two the top LTL gigs. Only place to go after that for significantly more money is UPS feeders, but the chances of getting hired off the street for that gig is nearly impossible in our part of the county.

Same old same old, put some thing in the contract that has no effecton the employees that have been there for a while so that they are not losing any vacation time so they will vote for it because it only affects the new kids. Old company trick play both ends against the middle.
-
When this part of the industry finally becomes full of bottom feeders we have nothing but ourselves to blame
-
Money isn't happiness though, there's a reason why they pay us the way they do
-
I know ABF is little a little more "chill" with the work atmosphere if that's what you're getting at.

62 CPM in SLC!!! You have to be kidding me! I'm in Los Angeles county (one of the most expensive places to live) and I only top out at 52cpm or is it 54cpm, can't remember now. I think it's 54cpm now.
-
62 sounds a lot more like a top mileage rate for a top company. Hell OD pays me 55 to turn Harrisburg on the weekends and I'm a bottom feeder seniority wise. I remember UPSF was offering like 46 to start in Seattle when I looked into them last summer.
-
They started me at 38cpm now I'm at 44cpm. ABF and YRC are under the NMFA so that's a reason why they are chill.
-
Yes it is, by the 5th year we'll be back up to .62cpm I believe.
After the pay cut, I'm at .56cpm. New hires are about .51cpm for 1 year, then get a raise to 100% of the current top salary. -
