i was there monday and as soon as i dropped my load of frame rails they told me to get another step deck and cut in front of everybody because i was picking up a load going to decauter. even cutting in front of everyone i wasn't likely to make it in time with a neutered company truck, let alone all the traffic on i75 then a detour. as luck would have it the trailer blew a tire and gave me an excuse for being late so i didn't get a service failure and they still offloaded me when i did get there. i didn't even have time to take a dump before leaving gaffney, the service truck that came to put the new tire on looked at me kinda funny when i walked out from the woods

 

What is a service failure?

 

That's when the big boys decide to write you up because you were late. They think you can trk. all day and do 700 miles in 10 hours for del. Just to drop the trl. or load in the customer lot and it sits for a week before they need it..
Some get real nick picky on it and will write guys up for 10 mins. late.
Kinda like rooling up to a guard shack 15 mins to your appt. and then it takes 20 to get to the rec. office. Oh you're late, you need a new appt. Yea. appt. time this....

 

Oh boy. How the hell does anyone work under those conditions?

 

I loaded there 2x both going to somewhere in the northern part of Indiana. 1st time I loaded there I sat there waiting while all these swifts going in front of me, finally left about 5pm…..made it to consignee about 9am…….2nd time I only waited about 20 min before they waved me in…….Ill never load at that place again(but thats what I said after the 1st time)
