Engine rebuild d12d

I'm not sure of the exact cost but I was in Alabama at a Volvo dealer and the parts guy told me it was cheaper to do an engine swap than rebuild. I'm gonna guess somewhere between 20-30k

 

The link below shows the 4 levels offered by Volvo:the 3rd stage ive seen advertisef for aprox 18-19,000$ at most Volvo shops:4th stage engine reman I know sure for D13 is aprox 24,000$ plus about 4500$ installation, should be about same for D12. Last time I adjusted the valves, the technician showed me some wearing on my camshaft,for my D13 the kitt would cost 4500$, on top any rebuilt stages; for me, reman would be better option, none of this ofer new crankshaft and camshaft.
