This is where there is a grey area. I could right now b/t to the terminal just to reposit myself, and use line 5, and if later get a pplan that will have me pick up mt there, then I would be okay

 

Mmmm.... Our Ktag (gotten on our own) we have a $2/month charge... Nothing monthly on the Pike Pass. They did say that when we get our monthly statement we can put our trip #s next to that weeks tolls and get reimbursed... Going to try that soon for February's tolls.

I got to my delivery nearly an hour early and they said I wasn't listed for a 0800 delivery, but just wait and they would call me when a dock was open.
So I wait 3 hours and get a call to put it in door 2.
This is a tight little place and you have to blind side in from the street. I was in the process when he calls again and tells me not to put it in the door, but just park the truck and come inside.
Then I'm told that my delivery is actually scheduled for tomorrow at 0800.

So, sitting for a day.

 

Guess that I am staying put right here. Have seen 1 pplan all day, 280 miles for a del tonight at a grocery warehouse in Enid, OK. Mac 30 is either nothing or loads under 280 miles. Guess that I am getting a 34. I so hate this planning area. I swear that it is almost as bad as Memphis. While here, got the truck washed. There is a guy that goes around with a power wash system set up behind his blazer. Charges $40, and after the truck is dry, comes back to take a look and fix what is missed. This truck really needed it.

 

yeah my truck is a mess with now, all filthy from the swarms of spring bugs especially the bees I hit constantly. Taking it easy on my day off, got a corned beef cooking to eat for dinner and then take some of it on the road with me tomorrow.

 

Pilot in Beaver Dam, OH. Made it here with 8 mins on my 14 after a 4 1/4 hrs unload. Same load was nearly 4 hrs loading so that's $120 detention on one load. Call it extra profit if you like, I call it a PITA!

Elkhart, IN in the morning to pick up headed for SoCal. Down to 9:50 on my 70, start getting time back on Sat. Will make for a leisurely 4 day trip.

Ive really been thinking about going g into a lease. Its something ive been thinking about it for a while now. Just dont want to get into something like that and fail....which I hear is easy to do in this business.

 

yeah a lot fail but if you do things right you can do well, I would speak to some of the o/o's around here for advice on things and maybe keep one handy for when you take the plunge you can get answers from.

 

Mostly the same here, but maybe a third of the stores are using Swift trailers. These need to have a manager come out and sign.
