A truck wash?
What's that?
???
And why does every terminal with one not have it operating when I get there?
Even the Central terminal in Salt Lake didn't have it working.
Well, if Swift won't care enough to let me wash my truck at a terminal, I guess I won't care enough to keep it clean!

From Walmart in Chula Vista. Hiding bobtail between a parking lot tree and a box van.

Swift truckwashes don't do much anyway. They just kind of wet the truck.

we only have to use swift trailers during christmas time since its so busy they cant keep up with the target trailers, a lot of stores during that time get 2 loads a day.

Just finished making delivery in Woburn, MA and drove 26 miles north to our next pickup. The warehouse will open in the morning and we're parked at the customer, nice calm night and 15ºF with a moon out.
I hear you about those bugs. When we drove from LA through Arizona and NM we got splattered pretty good. Then it was a mixture of ice and road salt and the buckets of cleaning fluid in Ohio and PA were half frozen, so now we have a nice mixture of goo on the edges of the windshield and the grill is looking like a failed project from Chef school... -
lol
yeah lately I have to clean my windshield a couple times a day when I am running north along the orchards.
got my loads for tomorrow going to central Fresno and then lathrop so will be some nice miles -
The truck wash at the Memphis terminal does a pretty good job but the others seem to just spray water. If I got reimbursed for washing the truck I would do it more often but I'm not spending $40-$60 to wash a truck that doesn't belong to me.
I'm hangin at a target in El Paso. I got here an hour early because I forgot that I switch into mountain time. Texas is a big state my current load is 1300 miles and I will remain in Texas for the whole run. I'm headed back east after this store with a stop in Odessa then midland and san Angelo. -
I was told swift will allow you to get a wash once a month and you just call your dm for a po but I have never used it.

Heard a rumor that the Fontana terminal is closing in a weeks or so? Anyone else hear that? If so, then that would mean the new Mira Loma aka Jurupa Valley terminal should be opening and then the Fontana terminal will convert to a school.

That's the word on the street:

Hmmm I might have to investigate that. I usually have some down time at least once a week so could probably fit in a truck wash every month. Of course once a month is still not nearly enough to keep the truck clean. It seems like a couple of days after washing it it's dirty and a week later it's absolutely filthy.
