Parked Here for the Night

My company once bobtailed me from El Paso to Jefferson City, MO to pick up a trailer. To this day I don't know why it was dropped with no driver to get it.

 

Wow , that's a long way to obtain. Lol

 

Broke two records at the same time for me. Longest deadhead and longest trip bobtail.

 

Oh, forgot to mention. Rolled into Weatherford, TX last night to the Petro, then snuck over here to the Love's this morning for a shower. No wait! Today is looking up!

 

Everyone needs a miracle now and then. Not too many people were running in for showers here at the Ocala Petro at 0530 this morning either, thank God.

I think I'm about to just head north and work the phone on the way. If I stay here and rest any more, I'll need to forward my mail. I make better money doing this return trip 3/4 of the way empty versus taking the cheap stuff that's sitting on a dock nearby anyway.

 

My star still is shining. Ordered me a steak and egg sub just as a Texas Central University bus pulled up and their basketball team got out and made a beeline for Subway.

 

Not workin till next week but;my wife and I are in Sauk Centre,MN for a day or 2 yet visiting my son so....If anyone is around I'll take out a loan and Dinner will be on me.

 

Stopped in Valdosta getting a PM and a sandwich. Might grab a load between here and the home terminal. Maybe not.

Looks like trailer week in Daytona is letting out. That, and thicker than usual RVs impeding traffic on I-75 NB today.

 

Looks like I'll be calling the Flying J in Avoca, Iowa home for the next 30 plus hours since I'm about 10 hrs from my destination but only losing a total of 7 hours in the next 2 days. Kinda sucks because I got home time coming up, but It's all good. I'm sure it will all work itself out. Ya'll be good now ya hear.

 

Going to hang out in Sauk Centre,MN a day or two longer as my wife and daughter-in-law have become fast friends..Seems they have a lot in common-they don't like me much..

And so God invented fishing for days like this and in this weird season called "Spwinter" will still need to bring ice-auger along.And beer.And brats.And...Kinda sounds like a Packers tailgating party don't it!?!!
