Depends upon what terminal one works at. I worked for Cryogenic Transportation Inc, in Blissfield, MI, pulling Air Gas trailers, dispatched by Air Gas dispatchers out of Hopkinsville, KY. Kenan Advantage is the parent company. Let's just say for all their rules preaching safety, no CB's, forward facing cameras, no hands free cell phone usage, and a few others, their preaching falls short when it comes to reality. It was very common to work 15-16 hour days regularly with the terminal manager having no problem going into the qual com system the following morning to "back up" ones start time to make things "appear" legal. So, what would end up happening is the driver would be out there driving over hours taking all the risk for not a lot of pay. I do know that all terminals do not run this way, but I'd bet that a lot do depending upon how busy they are.
