He mentioned he worked for jct in the past not now as you are, his numbers are different because of the time difference. You are really defending jct like a tiger, I wonder why because obviously jct is not so great according to many drivers who have worked there. Why does it even matter to you if you are having a nice time with jct. Who cares, why the incredibly defensive accusatory nature ?

You are getting personal which shows the type of person you are, a complete jack ### who I am proud I have and will never meet.

Thats physical damage insurance like full coverage on a car
-
It is a walk-away lease. I can turn the truck in at any time and not owe a penny (except for damages and/or maintenance). If you stay in the truck long enough, you can even build equity and get that money back when you turn in your truck, be it down payment towards another one, cash back, or like I did, put it in my maintenance account.)
If you are referring to the physical damage insurance, of course you have to pay the premium, regardless if its a lease or purchase through a bank.
BTW, if have NO desire to own this truck. I'm content paying as little per week on this thing as I can. These guys that are stressing and trying to run 3000K miles per week crack me up. It is absolutely possible and doable to make a substantial profit each week with 1800-2500k per week. As long as I run 30,000k per quarter to get my bonus, I'm happy.Alanp613 Thanks this. -
Yes I know he worked there in the past and I'm saying his claims are still wrong! Jct never charged for refer fuel. So whether or not there was a discount or not, the cost of reefer fuel didn't come out of your settlement. Secondly of course the trucks were cheaper when he was there, trucks been going up ever since they added dpf and now Def. If he believed that it's jct's fault that trucks are more expensive then he is uninformed. I'm not defending jct but making sure the facts are straight. Making accusations that a company is bad with opinions instead of facts don't cut itTrafficcontrolxl and Steel Tiger Thank this.

Really hate to tell you this also, in my case I seldom made less than a company driver, only on the weeks I went home for time off. Also when my truck was paid for, I came off the road with the trick and running regional with jct and still making more than a company driver. Traded that truck in for a newer truck and now still reaping the benefits of the hard work from my first 5 years. So so far it's 5 years of hard work and good money and now 4 years and going on making even more money. So reality really sucks huh. Like most owner ops that I talk to say, most drivers today can't handle hard work. They want to run their 3 weeks and go home.

Well it does seem like you make JCT work well for you. I just don't understand why so many people fail when others succeed within the same company.
-
Well in the long run I guess it doesn't matter. It does seem like JCT is a better chance to succeed than some bigger notable names. With so many drivers being done in by a lease scheme it doesn't help build confidence.

On the JCT cheer leader thread the guys are happy making 1200 gross. The only company drivers they are making more money then. Is a 2 year Swift or Werner driver who can't manage time or have bad dispatchers. Then when you figure even those guys on a bad week will still get a check. Not so for the glorified company truck renters at any of the fleece purchase scam companies. But hey some folks want to pay for headaches. Whatever floats ya boat.
