Us Express. My Experience..... I went to orientation on Febuary 11 after three days of bull ##$! at the Medway, Ohio faciality They didnt have all my info and I had to keep having my wife fax documents to fill in work history( I was self employed contractor for 5 years) videos, orientation lectures and listening to this tool named Josh .
Sleeping in that terrible bunk house, eating that terrible lunch they gave us . I was assigned a trainer. The trainer was female, Iam a male and married. that didnt go over to well with the wife. called my training coridinator and she re assinged me .
With a guy who had the worst hygene . He would stop every 4-5 days for a shower only at a pilot truck stop. (He recieved free showers there for filling up) I rarely saw him brush his teeth and he like to sit in the jump seat with his boots off and smelly feet on the dash. This guy would only eat at truck stops( Terrible food and over priced) would not stop and buy food from a super market. He #####ed constantly about wife and his dispatcher. I did a total of six weeks training and 180 hrs behind the wheel. After all that, on my very last day of training going thru the mountains of West Virginia on my way back to Medway I got a speeding ticket going down the mountain. They fired me the next day. Good luck

Why were you with a trainer for 6 weeks? USX is known for only having a 3 week training program.

I was with a trainer for a total of six weeks because, he had home time for 4 days, then we had to put the tractor in a local volvo shop for two days, got stuck in Sacramento for three days ( No load out ) finally got load to L A computer went down, stuck at L A for 3 days while we waited for repairs, finnally got a run east to Dallas ,stuck there over a weekend due to no load. USX has a training period of 28 days, it goes longer if you cant get runs and your trainer gets home time in the middle of your training.

My time spent with US Xpress (over 5 years ago) was great when I was running 48 States, then I switched to Western Regional and everything went down hill.... Railyards, locals, my miles were cut in half because I spent more time picking up local going to railyards, and if you have ever been to a railyard, there is no money sitting!!! Everytime I got a load going into LA, I spent atleast 3 days doing locals from San Diego upto Fontana and again the railyards. I dont recommend regional, they will use you as the local driver all along I-5. Good Luck
