I'd get it. Good spec, solid truck, solid motor, and even if it needs an inframe in the next 100k or so you're ahead of the game as opposed to someone carrying a truck payment.

Not a bad price compared to what they are asking for 1999's sitting on the dealers lots , see if you can look over the paperwork on the so called rebuilds if possible , might find out they were not full rebuilds as much as repairs.

crb, dynogt16 and Cetane+ Thank this.

I can't add much to what you've been told. for 10 K, even if you only drive it for a yr and sell it for parts, you'd still be ahead of the game. There is a lot of older guys that buy truck under 10K and run them for a yr or two and replace them. Better learn how to work on your truck otherwise you will go broke. parts are bad enough without paying $110 per hr or more (book rate)

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

I will I hope this will be my first truck. I can maintain it. But I got a few buddies that mechanic. One from freightliner had to go to a coal mine cause it was a one time great pay offer. He will help and teach me. After the work tho I'm sure I'll owe him a few premium beers ( only the best bush light). Lol I have the drive to go with it.

It's a $10,000 truck. You can almost part it and scrap it for that.
