Out of Curiosity, did Schneider lose any of their Wal-Mart accounts on the East Coast?? Gordonsville, VA to be exact?

Prime got it for one reason and one reason only: Their lightweight truck division. Walmart pushed the idea of the lightweight fleet in the first place to get more weight on each load - who cares if the driver is screwed and has to live in a supercramped cabin he can barely turn around in. That's the walmart way of doing things : screw the employee so the executives can buy another gold plated toliet in their third vacation house in Florida - that's the walmart (and Prime) way.

Man you couldn't pay me enough to sit in one of those lightweight trucks with a sleeper the size of a coffin and the tiny little DD13 engine pulling 80,000lbs gross weight up any kind of incline in 5th gear doing around 15 MPH... NO WAY.

Who told you that??? Some Wal-Mart DC's spilt there Grocery Freight with the Wal-Mart Fleet & The In-House Carrier. Wal-Mart Fleet Trucks are already light trucks, when I was there at Schneider for my first gig we could haul up to 49K in a Wal Mart Van.... I doubt that was the reason for the switch

Yeah, thats it, screw the driver. Cause its super cramped when the driver might have to spend a night in it.

Funny how the mattress in that light weight is the same size as the one in my condo. Driver's seat isn't any different either.

Most of the time those guys are out and back in the same day.

How cramped can you make it if you are slip seating and moving in and out almost daily.

Prime drivers are home every day and sleep in their own beds in their house? Haven't heard of that before. And you also say Prime drivers are slip seating and home every day? Never heard of that before with Prime either.
