You guys remember that great XL trl. that broke on me in Dec.?
Well guess what it showed up today where I lded. at.
Asked the driver if he picked it up in OKC, said no he was going to, but had trk issues. I told him good luck. He said HUH?
I told him it broke both rails, He said is that why it bows side ways when stretched, I went huh. yep it has a curve in it to the right when stretched out. Sounds like somebody did'nt get it to straight when they rewelded it..

 

Chris, I have already booked the only appointment left for the next 30 days in Green Bay........for 10:45 am this Thursday. I cant wait to tell my dispatcher tomorrow, I can hear him whining already. If I had let it expire on my own then I would say "I f'd up", but she specifically told me it would be taken care of, that I did not have to do a thing. They pay for our card, because they require us to have it. So, instead of paying $60 for a three year extension they can pay $120.00 now. I ALMOST told her today "I am not renewing it because my next job doesn't require one" just to stir the pot, but thought better of it because I didn't want to field phone calls the rest of the day.

We pay for them as well. That is why I wanted to get the $60 extension even though the drivers didn't get them taken care of in time. My safety director is a young guy that is good at figuring things out and getting them done. I really hope to keep him around for a long time.

 

Dumped my load off in Nebraska this morning then hustled home to grab my other trailer loaded for the same place. Parked at the Kwik Trip in Owatonna. Going to grab some wings at Timberlodge then head to bed.

I was parked next to one of the Pape boys but I was on the end of the row which I hate so I moved.

 

If its the same guy giving the orientation and classes, he is a ball buster! He was a grunt in the Marine Corp back in the 80s. He did the same thing to every person in my class. Only a few busted them back and I was one but he was the only one I would joke with and it was for only 1 reason. Thing is I know for a fact he was just messing around but somebody had to take it all serious!
