I finally go a hold of her. Finally! She wants us to start orientation on the 24th but I don't know if I will be done school by then you since they took a spring break. Slows us down. She's very pushy saying we HAVE to start by the 24th, no later. Stating we won't get a sign on bonus if we start after that date. I don't know why they can't wait 1 more week.

Thank you I will search for your posts. Why haven't you taken the plunge to driving? At 1st I was going to be Terry's ride along buy figured I might as well drive to bring in extra money. I just don't like that one is sleeping while the other drives. Doesn't seem like well actually have time together

I don't have the psychological makeup to put up with BS. I used up all my reserves working in the medical field for 20 yrs.
You'll have time together. Eating, Showers, Morning Coffee, Cuddle Time before one of you goes to sleep. Just gotta plan your day, and one of you better not be in the jumper seat when going through the scales.
    You'll love it.
Don't forget to do your 34 restart in a nice hotel.
It will be an adventure. Trust me. :biggrin_255:

She's probably trying to make her March quota or getting her commission on the March payout.
Stick to your time frame and don't worry about hers.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

I use to live in the DF/W area years ago. First time I ever drove a truck was in the metroplex area. Quite an initiation. lol

I second one of the companies that Chinatown mentioned.... Tyson
I've been bugging them for a few weeks now.
The pay starting out is difficult to beat, as is the benefits, etc.
If you're interested in them, I can pm you the info I've received so far and let you know the recruiter I've been in contact with.

Haha ya we were already planning on that. Hotels with nice hot tubs when we decide to have time off. We will probably take our "home time" all over the country not specifically in Texas, since we don't care to be here. lol. Oh yes and I have heard about the rules of sitting up front, time off must be in the back or you can get in big trouble. What did you do in the medical field Green-eyed Lady? I have been a CNA and done many different types of medical jobs. It does take a strain on you mentally, and usually physically as well. It was always crazy those 2 years I worked in the ER. Never a dull day. How long have you been driving for now?

Also I see you are from Dallas Tx. That is right by us. :)

ya I am not liking her. Am I allowed to ask for another recruiter? She honestly isn't very helpful and seems like she doesn't like being on the phone answering our questions. More so pushes the date we need to get in. We told her we can't do that date and she finally changed saying we HAVE to be in on the 24th. Said she can "push it back a week". smh. Shes too pushy. lol. Yes I want to get into an orientation, but can only graduate so fast. They now have 22 students in my class and only 1 teacher and 1 truck- only an automatic. They had 2 teachers but something happened to the other 1, and the manual truck broke. Also we had a spring break. Basically I am only getting in a half hour of drive time a day. I am not happy about this situation at all either, but I understand things happen, frustrates me though.

Thank you Razor3 that would be awesome :).

Oh my goodness the D/FW Metroplex is a terrible area. I guess its a good thing I have seen it before rather than coming across it the 1st time in my life in a big truck. I was scared enough my 1st time in a car. The way they have the roads set up here is ridiculous and the ramps are crazy. I have lived here a year and a half now. I am originally from Delaware. Terry my fiancé is from Florida. I Tell him he is going to have a blast in the snow. HAHAHA. He never seen more than a few inches in his life. ;-)

I am going to look on the Tyson website RIGHT NOW this very minute. Thank you for the advise.
