I've also seen it blow out the PTA when you have a Plus 1 assigned ETA inside a 24 hour window ... the PTA will go out past the window.
Shreveport, drop in Ft Worth in the AM, then run down to Plainview for a drop.

Coming to you live from Pilot in Gary...
Knocked out a small load from Swift yard in Gary and delivered in DeKalb and then picked up north side of Chicago, taking it to North Carolina. Heard it's raining out that way. -
Parked outside our delivery/pick-up in Atlanta, GA...Eating dinner and dessert...Watching the 'how many trucks can fit in a cul-de-sac?' show!

Frankfort, IN. Was a little worried this morning. Got up to get out of truck, and it was all ice. Guess that there was some freezing rain last night. Sent 1 pplan, pu at 1800 tomorrow, 15 hours after I start my clock. I could pu at 1900 and get a 10 in, but then it delivered to Charlotte, NC no later than 2100, 741 routed miles. Declined because in my eyes, that is a Svc Fail just waiting to happen. It was a Ford JIT load, plus really to not want to be there on a Friday morning. I just could see my next load with home time Monday in Columbus. Then sent another pplan. Good old Manteno, Costco to Louisville, 300 miles for Thursday morning.

Ft. Worth, TX at a little hole in the wall truck stop that charges $8 per night.
Got to the shipper and they didn't know what I was supposed to pick up.
I didn't have a pick up number so I called my DM, who put a call in to CSR.
They messaged back that it was a return load - so no pick up number.
I waited there 3.5 hours before they finally said to come back tomorrow. They finally figured out what my load was but there wasn't time to load me before 1600 when they closed.
Another Swift driver got there a couple hours after me for an identical load going to the same place.
I headed to the closest truck stop, about 2 miles away, while the other Swiftie was going to call his DM to get taken off the load.
Well, I don't mind the $96 in detention pay that my DM got me.
Edit:
Just found out the load has been cancelled.
My alt DM also said something about a truck ordered not used charge, so I'll have to wait and see what I get paid for this one.
Hopefully my next load will get me near a better terminal to get a coolant leak fixed.
I hate TX terminals.Last edited: Mar 18, 2014
