Ive asked questions in the covenant forum but no one seems active on the forum. So has anyone worked for covenant transport within the past year? I know they are team based and starting bay is .19cents on all miles w/hazmat. Also on their website states $700aweek minimum guarantee during phase 2 training. Is all this true? That sounds alright to get $700 a week guarantee, and .19cents on all miles is ok with no experience...I think.
anyone ever worked for covenant transport?

Are you sure you weren't reading a really old post on the forum?
Many companies start you at .25/mile and work you up to .30 or more by your 1st anniversary. -
foldingorbits Thanks this.

Dang, you are quick on the draw.Chinatown Thanks this. -
700 a week works out to 36400 without using a calculator. I am not sure that I would work for so little. Doesn't that seem cheap? You are going to be driving a truck that carries over $1,000,000 in insurance. I would think someone trusted with that kind of money would be paid better. Lets see, there is a shortage of 400,000 drivers in the US, so I think I would ask for more money with a skill that is so in demand. But wait, you have no experience so then it is okay to bend you over a barrel right?
I do not understand why you are putting yourself down. I have never worked for less then 45 cents per mile. Right now, I am making more money driving for a company then I have ever made in my life. What Company, I am not saying but I found the ad on this site.
Last week, I made $2400 or so. I drove 3300 miles. I got plenty of rest and I don't touch freight. I am out on my third week but going home this weekend. Boss is a great guy.
Everyone needs to remember that in this business all the other employees work for the DRIVER. They can call themselves manager or dispatcher or whatever, but if the driver don't drive nothing gets done and they are all out of a job. If safety don't safety, the job keeps right on going. Dispatchers same way. Only the driver is important. Start demanding better treatment and better wages. Or just get a great boss like I have. -
Well it's going to be difficult to be demanding anything when you don't have any experience. He's probally accurate because I've heard Swift teams making 21cents per mi. splitting 42cents. $700 a week for your first 3 months of driving is a good start. But I'm sure you won't be getting it every week. They will find a way screw you. It's in the fine print.

I wouldn't drive a truck with the right wing christian ######## on the trailer. Most of their trailer say some Jesus one liner or some pro choice one liner. Weather you agree with it or not, I wouldn't want it on my truck.
Any newbie should be able to make 1000/week and if they aren't, they need to switch companies. Even if you got 5000 miles a week teaming, @.19/ mile that's only 950 a week. I don't think you would get that amount of miles every week. -
