Starting March 10th

Smith system and insurance today. Also had the sleep study info class. Found out that my employment verification from my previous employer hasn't come in yet, so I had to dig up another phone number to make that happen. Training books and id cards tomorrow as well as instructor assignments or the priority list. Been studying the pre-trip in hopes of getting out to the pad soon and putting it to practice.

 

Been out on the pad the last three days working on pre trip. Pretty well got it down, but I'm trying to stay out there and stay visible. Still short on instructors, but folks are getting out slowly but surely. Just trying to stay active out on the pad and be visible. Also trying to spend a bit of time at millennium building and the inn to be visible there too.

 

Short here because of the backup, I think is the case. There are two cdl testers, and not a whole lot of trifectas. It's a chain reaction, so we all get to hurry up and wait, all the way up the ladder. It is what it is.

 

Update time. Got an instructor, and hit the road on Sunday. Have been able to get in a few hours of driving so far. Went to GA and NC to make drops for the repower we left SpriMo with, then picked up in NC and are heading out to Omaha. Instructor is easy to get along with and pretty laid back. So far, so good.

 

Was pretty windy in NC yesterday too. Hard enough to feel it, but not so bad I couldn't drive. Stay safe.

 

Well, have almost 20 hours of drive time in. Been out to NE for a drop and pickup. In Pittston right now for a bit of a layover on our way to MA. Will be there later today. So far so good, getting along with my instructor, and have been learning a lot.
