    You can also buy them at truck stops.

    I have never seen a winch like that for sale at a truck stop.

    what brand trailer did they come off of, they may belong to a specific manufacturer

    me either, they usually sell the kind with the two set bolts if they have those

    I think the last time I saw one of those was in Atlanta off of Fulton Industrial Blvd (I-20) at the QT truck stop. Next time I stop there I will snap a photo with my i-phone and post it up here so you guys can see if its the same.

    you probably saw the one with two bolts sticking out the top that you tighten like a set screw to hold it to the rail, it is a rare thing to see a winch for a sliding track at a truck stop.

    I've never seen one like that. Definitely not c track or double L track. That's probably going to trailer manufacturer specific, or at least knowing the trailer brand will make it easier to find replacements.
