Current company out of service

    I am leased to a company that safety scores were high and they were put out of service.. As an owner operator can i go work for another company?

    I imagine you can. Unless you were part of the problem. Then then the new company might not want to take on your CSA points.

    Exactly.....Rank has hit the nail on the head with that one....Of course you can move on to another company, just as long as you weren't the one that contributed to the terrible scores with the Out Of Service company....

    how would they know that? do they look at if i got violations during that time or what

    Yeah they will know. They look up your csa score. If you had any violations on your truck you get a certain amount of points for each violation. If you received a inspection and they wrote your truck up for anything, that adds points to your csa score. Even if it was just warnings you still get points on your csa

    That raises a question - How does a driver find out his/her personal CSA score? I thought the CSA scoring was strictly for companies and DAK was for drivers. Any insight on this would be appreciated.
