Right now im tied up with Sprint for awhile.. I do have unlimited data though, and I know for a fact that it is not throttled at any point. Besides from what I hear all of the system rebuilding that Sprint has been doing for the past two years should pay off big this year.. but who knows

I just got done playing WoW. I have a verizon hotspot, I play every day. If you think you only have 10 hours down then you don't understand new HOS. 8.75 hours max per day on average means 15.25 hours free per day on average. My 10s are usually always 14s or 15s.
Also truck stop wifi is worthless, gaming doesn't use much data, I never come close to my 10gb limit with verizon, I have to use netflix to burn it up. As far as latency I get 40-90ms on 4g. -
Plant is correct in that you will have more free time then just the 10 hours. and there is the 34 hr restart, If you want to play in your off time, go ahead. However, just make sure you are rested when you drive. As for the gaming part, most games should be ok. i play both Borderlands 2 and WOW and have had no prob.

I used to play call of duty on my downtime. I use my Verizon Mifi and it doesn't require a lot of data. Right now I play World of Tanks and will be starting World of Warplanes soon.

When I was OTR in 2007, I played World of Warcraft (Cairne Server, Fathersdruid) on a aircard from Verizon. I had bought a HP refurbed laptop (it has since died from board issues) and it ran it perfectly fine. I would log in for a hour during my 10, then during the 34 I was on for about 3-4 hours. Game play wasnt as nice as it is here at home. I found it to be awkward to be at the wrong sitting height to the desk by my bunk in the Freightliner Columbia that I drove at the time. Yet it can be done.
On a side note. I would not rely on the wifi servers at truck stops. They are ok for browsing yet they are terrible on security. A neighbor whom was driving for Prime at the time had some one lock his hard drive and held it for ransom. So beware of what you use on those wifi's. -
The only issue with truck stop Wifi is that it's incredibly slow, to the point of not being usable at most truck stops between 7 pm and midnight. Too many people trying to watch their pr0n at the same time, and the other drivers running their personal hotspots on the same channel doesn't help.lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
Yeah, I would not call Lee terribly bright. It would be just like him to open all attachments, especially the ones marked "Fedex is trying to reach you"

Edit: I just realized i over read the first part of your post. Do you still play? -
I dont play WoW anymore. I am on Perfect World International Dreamweaver server (PVE).
When I was on the road it seemed less lag. Updates were quicker. I can remember at home an update taking an hour or two, yet the air card was about a half hour.
Frame rate was 24 FPS? It was a 2.8 Ghz quad core, Nvidia, 8 gig extended, 17" screen.
If you get a new computer, dont forget to instruct Microsoft to address all the chips in the cpu. Go into your MSconfig and open the advanced on the boot tab. On the left of this pop up window is a box that should be checked (number of processors) below that is usually a 1 or 2, click this and select the highest number detected. Select ok and your machine will want to restart. The next time you start your machine windows will address ALL the processors. -
