Hey BK. I have an offer from MBI hauling H2O out of their Ross site. The 5w on/ 10d off sched is a bit of a deal breaker for the fiance. Any insight how flexible that is over time?

 

I'm not really sure who told you that that was the way it works. But its not. You can work for as many weeks/months as you want. That is totally your call, if you want time off for the next month you just need to submit it prior to the 20th of the month before. So If I wanted time off in June, I need to have my request submitted by May 20th and as long as there aren't a ton of people putting in for time off ahead of you for the same dates it won't be a problem. Our truck pushers are quite good about making sure guys get their time off/home time when they need/want it. Family emergencies, etc, you can park your truck and take off without any consequences. Different yards operate in different ways but thats how it works for Ross.

Obviously its not you that I am talking about. I am asking if you know anybody else with that name. One of my best friends that I was in the Corp with has been driving for you guys for a couple years now and is born and raised up in the Hazen area. Just wondering if ya knew him.

 

I think there is a john knight at another yard but I'm at only knight at mine.

Hi bk im interested in mbi I currently hual fresh/production water for a different company out of ross nd. but I am thinking of going elsewhere. I have 7 years army driving experience. 0 points on my mvr in the last 7 years and all cdl a endorsements haz, double and triple, tanker. Im just wanting to know a little more about mbi and what they offer.

 

Does anyone know what they pay there non cdl water transfer techs?

 

I just applied for a winch truck position out of the Ross Yard (online). My 20 years with the Army are "done" this Friday and I am looking to make a move pretty quickly to get the next career going.

Any idea what specifically they are looking for in a new hire? I have a CDL A with NPT, and 19 years experience in CMVs, but almost all of that experience came from the Army (I also spent a little over 2 years hotshotting). Most of the Army time was in a really big winch truck, per se... the M1070 HET, hauling the Abrams and other heavy transport loads. It has a pair of 52,000 lb winches that are used in recovery operations. I also spent a good bit of time at the controls of forklifts, cranes and container stackers, so I have operated quite the variety of hydraulics and know the "touch" on the controls.
