The only place i've seen the exhaust bed heaters were on straight truck dumps.
It seems to me like the wind has made a difference...it seems to make the metal colder. I had limestone freeze in the nose with temps above 32 degrees in October. Most of what has stuck on me this winter was in or near the nose - until i started treating it more heavily. BTW the load slid right out this am with the 70/30 fuel /oil mix :) It was a balmy 20-25 degrees all night tho.
I also had my 8th flat in 2 months... 5 cut sidewalls and 3 bolts (had 4 flats 4 days in a row). Beat my scrap haulin flat record of 3 in a month to hell. I've run over a piece of cardboard and a piece of a tire in that time. Need to get a couple mini cams i guess.

mini cams will show if someone is cutting his tires or placing objects infront/behind them so they will be pushed into the tire as the driver rolls off.

my question is if it's a preloade

    Big Don Thanks this.

my question is if it's a preloaded trailer, how do you treat the floor? And as far as i'm concerned, any and pretty much everything will stick in a dump.. i've had pebbles stick up and around the dog house of my trailer more then a few times.. but coal was the worst.. 2in thick and from front to back.

I came across something online that I've never heard about before, a heated truck liner. There is a picture of a live bottom on their website. Had a load of soil freeze that I had to shovel, wish I found this during the winter.

Anyone else ever hear of such a thing?

I've got some frozen dirt about a foot thick down the middle of my box. Every thing sticks in a dump truck. I've seen ten wheelers with a motor under the bed that will make it vibrate and shake stuff out. Mainly with the guys that haul wet concrete in the super dumps.
