So instead of saying hmmm I will go spend the 80 bucks on a U joint and have that done for a whopping total of what? 500 bucks with parts, he waits and causes more problems for himself.... Heck you can change a U joint out pretty easy and Napa will even press the old one out if need be!!! That guy needs to rethink his approach PMs....
Where is everyone #2!!

See now something like that I don't put off.
Even then with what happened he could of done the airbag and airline replacements himself. Plus go to the drive line shop and have a new shaft made and installed himself. Just make sure it's timed right.
My projects today were to replace some frame slide ramp bolts. I caught my left slide ramp with the goose neck Wens. and broke some bolts. Install new lic. plate light
Then get the oil changed in the trk. and get their trl. insp. and greased. Last grease I did..milskired Thanks this. -
I hear the PM. Had two steers put on in Spokane. "Cross tube" as they called it frozen.replaced it. Three axle alignment. Then did oil and grease in York. Drives like a Cadillac.
Sitting in Merkel Texas for Monday -
The sad part is when his driveshaft came out, it was lying in the highway and a car hit it and took out the oil pan, cops were called, but I don't think that he was given a ticket over it. But he/his insurance company gets to pay for the car's repairs also.

That really bites over the oil pan issue. Daily will make him pay the deuctable. Might be cheaper to pay for the oil pan out of pocket. No claim on record.

Just a quick update, number one, I'm staying put here for the time being, there's a flood of people there or headed there at the moment.
Grandma was just released from the hospital so my ex is taking her home to my ex's house then going to the store's to get her clothes and basic necessities since every thing they owned is gone. Grandpa had surgery late last night and a temporary pin placed in his wrist which will require further surgery and reconstruction once the swelling goes down. Great Grandpa is the 81 year old the news keeps talking about that was airlifted to Harbor View. He has multiple broken ribs, fluid on his lungs and is currently in a drug induced coma on life support, prognosis isn't good. Great Grandma is 91 and has not been found. Their home was pushed completely into the river then buried by the mud. Great Grandma was in bed when it struck and is thought to be buried in the mud dam.
That's all I know at the moment, thanks to everyone for the kind words, prayers and offers of help. I got up this morning with the intention of catching the first flight out of Detroit but after talking to my son, his girlfriend and my ex it sounds like right now there isn't much I can add by being there. They're not allowed anywhere near the site of the slide and at this point in time all they can do is wait it out. Fortunate my ex brother in law has a very large home well out of the affected area and as I type this they are preparing extra bedrooms for everyone who lost their homes and the rest who have been evacuated because of the flooding threat.leftlanetruckin, saddlesore, jomar68 and 5 others Thank this. -
Thanks for the update. Hope they find Great Grandma soon.
And hopefully Great Grandpa will fool everybody and pull throughpeterbilt_2005, MJ1657 and catalinaflyer Thank this. -

Spent yesterday watching my friend Mindy's daughter skate in a figure skating competition. She skated 3 times on an ankle she sprained Friday night at practice ice and still managed two 4th place finishes and one third out of 10 skaters in her class. She wouldn't take her skates off between routines and as soon as she did that thing swelled like a L/P operators wallet. She felt good enough to let me take her to the mall while her mom went to visit with some friends before they headed home. I guess some "retail therapy" and Mongolian Grill helps make the pain a little more bearable. Of course when we got back her mother pointed out the minor fact that "You spoil her" to which I responded "Of course I did, you weren't there to stop me". Silly woman it wasn't about the shopping. It was more about just the two of us sitting in the food court eating off each others plates, sharing a large Orange Julius, people watching and just talking.

Those gawkers can kick rocks!! You did a good thing for Mindy's daughter. Showed her how to have fun and enjoy the day.
