No problem, I just wanted to point out that they have the newer modems out now (but you can still buy the v720). Do you know what kind of latency you have when playing FF 11? As I stated in my reply I've only had it for about a week so I haven't played with it too much (I'll test netflix tonight).
Yeah Mark they do have a 5gb monthly limit (and its in writing now) but unless you are doing some heavy downloading, or a lot of streaming video, I cant see most home users going over it. The only way to exceed 5gb is to live online 24/7, daily slingbox streaming video, or doing illegal p2p type downloading (and possibly legal p2p ie linux distros, after all not all p2p is illegal).
The Verizon software package also has a meter that tells you how much bandwidth you've used in the current billing cycle, so worst case you can stop using the connection once you hit 5gb until it resets for the next bill cycle. You can continue to use over 5gb of data but they will charge you more and from the TOS it sounded expensive (.25 cents per KB after 5gb I think, it adds up quick!), also if you use more than 5gb its likely to trigger an audit and I've read about people getting shut off for violating the TOS. I think 5gb is more than fair for a $60.00 wireless internet plan.
I'll test some more but it sure seemed like the connection was being scaled back after a few minutes. Its possible there was a bad connection or a server issue that was causing my problem, after all I've only had it about a week.

Verizon is not the only game in town...........
Last year Verizon had the worst customer rating of the cell companies. I have been an At&t then cingular then At&t customer, never had a problem with them. I use there wireless service, with zero problems.
Mark -
I've been a Verizon cell phone customer for 6 years, never had much of a problem with my service or plan.
-
I've had Verizon service for over ten years (was GTE service prior to that) and have been happy since I got them. -
i upgraded to a sprint broadbad aircard from t-mbl.
WOW!!
this is so much faster, i luv it.
i got the ex 720 -
For all the information! I am way behind the times I didn't know there were wireless internet services like that. Sounds like a good plan!
Joebluedee Thanks this. -
Any modicum of research would show the claim that VERISON cancels customers to be true. Doing a "GOOGLE" for the phrase "Verison cancels customers" nets 341,000 results with the NUMBER 1 link to THIS article on Consumer Affairs:
Instead of STOPPING their "LIMIT" of BANDWIDTH, the very NEXT article says THIS:
Verizon Agrees to Stop 'Unlimited' Claims
So, instead of allowing their UNLIMITED BROADBAND to be truly UNLIMITED, they simply QUIT calling it UNLIMITED.
The answer is, and ALWAYS has been that VERISON DOES NOT OFFER UNLIMITED Broadband. -
"Vinnie the IT pro" at HSA Engineers and Scientists says THIS: http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/23194
There are THOUSANDS of such pages, but I included only two from somewhat reputable websites. -
Speeds comparable to Verison, (in fact Leo LePort says they are FASTER)
and coverage anywhere there is a cell phone signal. -
I should have gotten this years ago.
