Wow. A dead thread revived, and not even a good one.
The only thing I got from this thread is SRT makes more cpm on truck recovery than they do on freight!!![]()

Roehl had or still has a policy like this. You are issued a lock and some other stuff and agree to pay them what it costs, something like $100 or so and when you leave you turn it back in and get your money back. Of course, I had to threaten the lady in Wisconsin with suing them in court in my home jurisdiction, having the suit served on them and demanding that they fly back east for court and then attaching a lean to one of their trucks in order to get my money back but I got it.
-
By the way, I was never paid interest on the money that they held for 2 years which is the law when a deposit is held.
-
That's for sure. Amazing how a thread about "Nationwide Express" suddenly turned into a rant against Roehl and Southern Refrigerated. I am looking at Nationwide and trying to get information on them, but the ###### hijackers stole this thread (as usual.)

Cool. Really cool.

Just a question, Don't Texas HAM Ops have 4 letters one numeric? I'm just a Tech class.
-
CB's have huge amps, Hams have repeaters. Hand held does the same as a "huge Radio" They can't be tracked though. No Ham, Just a Tech. Told I can't run a big radio if I get a Ham lic. My life counts on comm. Truckers don't enjoy the warmth of Government much. If there is a wreck 20 miles away I need to know. Some of us run oversize loads. Can't be backed up. Stingers on RGN's on Dollys. I will pay to see that happen. Input will be taken as help.

Trailer/Steering gear locks are made of galvanized steel most of the time and that stuff isn't cheap. I once whacked a steering gear with the padlock in it (kind of looked like a grain flail) against a concrete post and took a chunk out of it while trying to intimidate a 4 wheeler driver into going away when he thought he'd try and "get tough" with me...
