I guess since everyone wants to talk about trucks I throw my 2 cents in. I had to give up my eagle and got a Mack. Good side is it runs great, real engine break, has def not regin crap pro stars have. Wish was a super 10 instead of straight 10. Bad side of truck is its new. I say that causen worried something will hit it or get scratched. Then storage sucks. Need cabinets across back wall like eagle n be alot more room. 2 side boxes and 2 saddle boxes. No storage under bed. Thats where bunk heater goes. That works good. But hear clicking as it sucks fuel. Saves fuel. Def system works fine. I top off at least every other fuel trip just to be safe. Think tank is 15-20 gallons. Truck went from high point nc to Chicago and back and than to wytheville va before filling def and only took 12 gallons with 1/4 tank.

As for the petes. I like them and will try to trade for one. They said macks are going to be 80% of company and petesnfill in the other 20%. All petes be auto. But looks like has alot more room. Consider I go out for month or more at a time...more room is better. I think thay have the paccar engine.

I am on long trip to Alberta Canada. Just hope goes better than last Canada trip. Broke pto for pump, pump frozen and hoses frozen. For long visit up north.

    wsyrob Thanks this.

Imo...freightliner...kw...and macks have the most room in them...I love peterbilts but they are small on the inside...idk why superior has the small bunks on the sleeper...I know its for less weight but I Have seen other carrier that have the regular size sleeper...

We normally don't haul over 45000 in the tank, and with that amount I usually gross around 76000 to 77000. An extra few inches on the sleeper won't add that much extra weight. I think they are just trying to save a few bucks.

I usually stay out 10 to 12 days. Im not one live in the truck any longer than that. I prefer my bed at the house.

I have another N Chicago out and back for tomorrow. That makes 3 straight and 4 out of 5 the last 3 weeks. Had a Holland Mi thrown in to finish out week before last.

I talked to a guy who just got in a Pete last week. He likes the auto transmission. Says it pulls better than the ProStars.
