I think I hear crickets in here lol. Question for you swifties/knowledgable centwift drivers. With the new way of writing comchecks. After you write the check out. Then authorize that specific check number. Do you write your card number in the box that says card number or express code?
Swift transition is making me crazy

NEVER write your card number!
Fill out the check like you would any check - filling in the Pay to, Date, Sum, and $ fields.
Fill out the Company line with the your company name (i.e. Swift), trip number, truck number and driver code.
Leave everything else blank.dfaf Thanks this. -
It may be here ... but don't feel like going through 39 pages. Tried to help a Central fuel at the terminal today, but the system rejected his truck number. Tried the 5 digit, then added a 2 for the C and that didn't work either.
I know some of you have successfully fueled at the terminals. So what's the secret for the next time I bump into a Central so I can help ... Oh, and Swifty came in and he was having his own issues. But, him I could help. -

What happened was I got a washout at a place. Wrote the comcheck out. Gave it to him and he immediately asked for the express code. I explained we don't use express codes and that it was already registered. He said ok and handed me my receipt. I said I'll wait until you call it in. Then he said the guy who calls them in isn't in at the moment. That was Friday.
Well last night I got a call from someone at swift on road. He said. You got a washout and wrote a comcheck. I said ok? Then he said that the people called swift and said they couldn't authorize the check. He then proceeded to explain to me the swift way of writing out checks. That includes writing your card number in the box. I said. No. I've never had to do that before. And they've gone thru fine. All he said was just make sure you start writing it on there. I then said. I don't think that's a good idea because it has my personal money on there. To which he said. No worries. If they don't have your pin then they can't do anything.
So I just agreed with him to get off the phone. No point in arguing. But I thought that was interesting seeings how I've never had to do that before. I was wondering if maybe the people just didn't know how to cash a dang check. -
I'm finally going to CA!!! Sweet freedom. I love the west.
As for the comcheck thing, I write my truck number and driver code in the card # box. Sometimes I'll get a call from folks at the trailer wash trying to use that number but I just tell them to use the draft number at the top and they don't call back. -
They don't need your card number for anything, and there is no reason to write it on the Comcheck.
The customer only needs the check number to get verification.
And if they don't do it while I'm there to make sure everything is kosher, well, on their head be it.
If it didn't register correctly the money would still be in your ComData account and you could just call again to register it.
If the money was taken out of your account then it registered correctly and the customer is doing something wrong.tangerineGT, Lady K and Broccelli Thank this. -
