    I usually go every year, meet up with old friends and bbq. Gonna try to go to Dallas GATS in August. I have some fuel technology things i want to learn about. Im sick anyways so MATS wouldnt have been as much fun this year.

    Good news is my settlement this week is $400 more than i expected, thats always nice.

    Jeff hit a home run in the office today, booked a roundtrip from Tenn to Chicago paying good money.All direct no wait time in between because of the weekend. It is one of the great things about this job, the runs like this. Havent done the final calculation yet but should be in the $1.90/mi range. Great Job Jeff!

    Office guys are on fire. Tom got me one, all miles paid from my last drop to the shipper then to the receiver AND TO MY DRIVEWAY! Looking like 1.80-1.90 from what he said. Couldn't beat that with a stick.

    I have a great team and very proud of them. And what you need to understand is we are down two logistics planners for today so this is even better when you consider that.

    But what is helping in all this is that all of our drivers have been doing a great job and we are getting more calls "looking for help" and accepting our conditions (like I need to get this driver home so if you can ...). Without great service from the drivers it would make it harder to do this.

    We have been very active trying to get more drivers. I will say that I have talked to over 10 prospects today and only 2 or three would work. This is a lot like building a sports team. Just because someone can throw a football doesn't qualify them to be the quarterback.

    Let's keep hammering. We are only scratching the service.

    What I like about what we are doing is that even our "bad" loads and weeks are better than most companies great weeks.

    This actually worked out to $2850 on 1400 total miles.

    Yeaj Kevin told me what happend, they are in my thoughts. If you need to you can have prospects call me, i dont mind.
