Logging trucker Jessie Henley of Dublin, GA, told Land Line Now on Wednesday that approximately 250 trucks participated in a slow-moving convoy up Interstate 75 to Atlanta, then looped the city on Interstate 285. He said the convoy started out with about 55 trucks, but kept growing.

At one point, Henley said troopers pulled over the two lead trucks to cite them for impeding traffic. But, when the entire convoy pulled over behind them, the troopers gave up on the idea.:biggrin_255::biggrin_255:

That is about the best thing I have heard so far on the subject. It must have been a mess to try and pull all of them off the road in or around Atlanta.

if truckers would do this in major cities across the us it would get the message across. Run side by side at the minium speed leave the far left lane only open. Say we are conserving fuel because it cost is too high. it will jam up the four wheelers, companies will not complain because you are participating and if they did you can' help the traffic. news crews will give us a voice because this effects everyone.this is sticking together

I'm gonna catch hell for this, but IMHO this is only going to piss off people more. People who don't like trucks or truckers anyway. :biggrin_25513:

I can see it leading to road-rage incidents and some serious problems for a lot of folks. I'm not saying that our problems are not serious, they are. But I think we may be in a whole different league of seriousness here.

Don you ain't gonna catch any hell from me, I don't agree but any honest opinion I am willing to listen too.
The reason I don't agree is because i have hear so much support from the public about how it is finally time some one did something and well done that we have much more support than you think.
there is another group that like you said hate truckers but they hated us before this started so it isn't going to change their minds anyhow!!
And bottom line something had to be done the trucking community is getting completely walked on
